A martial arts school from Bloomfield has totally dominated the 2023 Taekwondo championships, winning big in New Jersey, Connecticut, and nationally. The Essex County Board of County Commissioners recently gave a shoutout to the Universal Martial Arts Tournament Team of Bloomfield for their incredible victories. Led by coach Master Damian Harley and assistant coach Abrielle Pinto, this team has proven themselves to be unstoppable. They took home the gold at the New Jersey Taekwondo State Championship, the Connecticut Taekwondo State Championship, and the USA National Taekwondo Championship. It’s safe to say that Bloomfield is the place to be for martial arts enthusiasts!
