Hey there, sports fans! The University of Denver Athletic Department has been hard at work making some awesome upgrades to the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness. And let me tell you, they’re going to take your game-day experience to a whole new level! So, grab your jerseys and get ready for some exciting news.
First up, let’s talk about the concession options and Gold Club upgrades. They’ve introduced a cashless system throughout the arena to speed up transactions. No more fumbling for cash or waiting in long lines. And the grab-n-go stations around the concourse will make sure you never miss a minute of the action. Plus, they’ve added some delicious new food options, including Papa John’s Pizza and mouth-watering BBQ and chicken wraps from Junction Food Hall. And if you’re a Gold Club member, get ready for revamped menus and a new drink menu for every game. Cheers to that!
But that’s not all. The Ritchie Center has also undergone a makeover with some fresh new branding. From the student-athlete locker rooms to the playing surfaces of Magness Arena, Hamilton Gymnasium, Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, and the University of Denver Soccer Stadium, they’ve created a true at-home feel. And the new uniforms proudly display the modernized arch Denver across the chest, representing the University on a national level.
Now, let’s talk about the upgrades to Magness Arena. Fans around the glass will have an improved view, thanks to the new glass and boarding system. And guess what? They’ve even installed LED goal lights for that extra wow factor. Plus, there are camera holes in the boarding system, so you can expect some amazing content on Denver’s social media platforms.
For all you fans out there, they’ve set up a centralized Fan Relations location just inside the west entrance of Magness Arena. Need help with tickets, stroller checks, or lost and found? They’ve got you covered. And don’t forget to check out the new Pioneer Storefront presented by Follett for all your DU apparel needs.
Safety and efficiency are also a top priority. They’ve enforced the University’s Clear Bag Policy, so make sure to grab your complimentary clear bag before heading to the game. And to speed up entry, they’ve added metal detectors at each entrance. No need to empty your pockets or remove your jackets anymore.
And finally, everything is going digital! Tickets, game programs, and even concession stands are cashless this season. So, make sure to download your tickets and check out the QR codes for game programs.
There are still more upgrades to come throughout the year, including updates to the Ritchie Center concourse and venue. So, stay tuned!
We hope you’re as excited as we are for the 2023-24 hockey season at the University of Denver. It’s going to be a game-changer! Go Pios!
