The Northern Illinois University women’s basketball team’s game against Kent State is going to be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. How cool is that? The Mid-American Conference announced their national television schedule, and our Huskies made the cut. Originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13, the game will now be played on Sunday, Jan. 14 at 5 p.m. CT. So mark your calendars and get ready to cheer on our team!
But wait, there’s more! Before the big game, you’ll have the chance to see our 2023-24 women’s and men’s basketball teams in action at Huskie Madness. This awesome event is a collaboration between NIU Athletics and the NIU Campus Activities Board. It’s happening tomorrow night, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. The doors open at 6 p.m., so make sure to get there early. And don’t worry about getting hungry because concessions will be available.
Now, let’s talk about the fun stuff. Huskie Madness is going to be a blast! You’ll get to see the teams being introduced, and there will even be a three-point contest and a dunk contest. How cool is that? And since it’s close to Halloween, we encourage you to come in your spookiest costume. Plus, there will be trick-or-treat candy available for the little ones in the Kids Zone. It’s going to be a night of basketball and Halloween fun!

These ladies were top-five in the MAC in scoring offense, three-pointers per game, and three-point field goal percentage. Talk about impressive! They’ve been consistently knocking down over 200 threes each season for the past seven years. And guess what? They’re bringing that same fast-paced offensive style to the court this year. Get ready for some high-scoring action!
Our Huskies were pretty dominant at home last season, with a 9-4 record at the Convocation Center. They even took down DePaul and the reigning MAC champions, Toledo.
