Hey tennis fans! Get ready for an action-packed weekend as the Chattanooga Mocs men’s and women’s tennis teams gear up for some thrilling matches. The men’s team will be hosting the UTC Steve Baras Fall Invite right here on campus, while the women’s team will be heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Roberta Alison Fall Classic hosted by Alabama.
The UTC Steve Baras Fall Invite, which runs from Friday to Sunday, is one of the top fall collegiate tennis events in the mid-south. It’s always a treat to watch our guys play on our home courts. The tournament will feature teams like Austin Peay, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Samford, Tennessee Tech, and UAB. Doubles play will kick off each day at 9:30 a.m. ET, followed by the singles competition. You can find all the tournament information, including draws and results, on the tournament website.
Meanwhile, the women’s team is gearing up for the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, taking place on Saturday and Sunday. This is the first time they’ll be participating in this classic since 2016. The tournament boasts a strong field, with teams like South Alabama, ETSU, Samford, Troy, Clemson, Wisconsin, Auburn, LSU, Nebraska, and Ole Miss. After their recent appearance at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, this event will wrap up their fall season.
