Tasha Butts, aged 41, was diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer in 2021. Despite her illness, she continued to coach at Georgetown until last month when she made the difficult decision to step away.
Tasha’s diagnosis led to the creation of the Tasha Tough campaign, which aimed to raise awareness and funds for women who cannot afford quality care. The campaign supported the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, making a difference in the lives of many.
