I’ve had Sentosa Golf Club on my bucket list for seven years, and finally, I had the opportunity to play the iconic Serapong Course. Let me tell you, it completely blew me away. The Serapong is not only Singapore’s greatest course but also one of Asia’s best. In fact, it recently won multiple awards, including Singapore’s, Asia’s, and the World’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards. It’s no wonder it has hosted prestigious events like the Singapore Open and the HSBC Women’s World Championship. The course, designed by Ron Fream, offers a challenging yet breathtaking experience. The bunkering is impressive, and the lush bermuda grass adds to the difficulty. The views throughout the course are stunning, with waterfalls, the Singapore Straits, and even a glimpse of the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel. The front nine is filled with water hazards and incredible vistas, while the back nine takes you through mature trees, giving it an old-school feel. The course is a ball striker’s paradise, but you’ll also need a sharp short game to conquer the undulating greens. The golf club itself is grand and historic, dating back to 1974. The locker rooms are impressive, and the reception area is like a museum, showcasing signed clubs from professional winners. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly helpful. Sentosa Golf Club is a must-play for any serious golfer visiting Singapore. I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced the Serapong Course, and I can’t wait to tee it up on The Tanjong next time I’m in Singapore. Trust me, playing at Sentosa Golf Club is an unforgettable experience that you won’t regret.
