Newcastle United Midfielder Sandro Tonali Faces 10-Month Ban for Betting Offences

Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is set to face a 10-month ban from football after being found guilty of betting offences. The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) president, Gabriele Gravina, confirmed the news, stating that Tonali had collaborated extensively with the investigation. Tonali, who joined Newcastle United from AC Milan in the summer, will miss Euro 2024 as a result of the ban. This comes after Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli was also banned for seven months in connection with the same investigation. Tonali’s impressive start at Newcastle, including scoring on his debut, will now be overshadowed by this suspension.
