The Trump Organization’s golf resorts in Scotland have just won two prestigious awards at the World Golf Awards in Abu Dhabi. Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen was named the Best Golf Course in Scotland 2023, while Trump Turnberry in Ayr received the title of World’s Best Halfway House. The awards included nominees from 65 nations across the globe. Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President of Trump International Scotland, expressed her delight at winning these coveted prizes. She stated, ‘We are immensely proud to receive the award for Best Golf Course in Scotland. To achieve this level of recognition for our majestic modern links, which lies in the home of golf and is up against many of the greatest golf courses anywhere in the world, is testament to the amazing team at Trump and the most spectacular dunes in the world. 2023 marks an exciting new chapter for Trump International, Scotland.’ The Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen opened its course in 2012 to international acclaim. Another Trump property, Trump Turnberry Resort in Ayrshire, was also honored at the World Golf Awards for its iconic Halfway House overlooking the historic Turnberry Lighthouse. Ralph Porciani, General Manager at Trump Turnberry, said, ‘Preserving and respecting our history is vital in everything we do here at Trump Turnberry, and we always want to find new ways to create experiences for our guests that pay homage to our heritage. That’s why the decision was taken to create the halfway house in 2016, allowing golfers to enjoy this one-of-a-kind Scottish landmark, and we are delighted to see it named the world’s best for the fourth year in a row.’
