This victory solidifies Redwood as the undisputed number one team in MCAL, having defeated the Bulls in all three of their matchups this season. Last year, Redwood dethroned Branson in the playoffs after splitting their regular-season meetings. The success of the team can be attributed to the leadership of first-year coach Tracey Porter, who has brought a positive and uplifting energy to the players. The juniors on the team, including Julia Laury and Gwenn Ricordel, showcased their skills by only dropping a combined five games in their singles matches. Jordan Marotto, the team’s number one singles player, dominated her opponent with a swift victory.
