The Western Wildcats put the pressure on Grange in the men’s hockey Premiership with a scrappy 5-3 victory over Hillhead. It was a tough game against their Glasgow rivals, but the Wildcats managed to claim the win. The team had five different players scoring goals, including Rob Harwood, who recently returned from playing in Australia, and Iain McFadden, a new recruit from Edinburgh University. Nikki Homfray, Euan Cowan, and Callum Duke also contributed to the scoreline. Despite a less than stellar performance, the Wildcats secured three points and moved above Edinburgh University in the table. With 18 points from seven games, they are now just three points behind Grange, who are currently leading the pack. Hillhead remains in fourth place with nine points from their seven fixtures.
