The game started off with Denver taking an early lead, scoring the first goal just 1 minute and 35 seconds into the first period. They quickly followed up with another goal, putting them ahead 2-0. But Augustana didn’t back down. They fought hard and managed to score two goals of their own, bringing the score to 3-2 in favor of Denver at the end of the first period.
