Auto e Moto d’Epoca (26-29 October) is taking place in Bologna for the first time after 39 years in Padua. This automotive event is showcasing over 5,000 cars, with most of them up for sale. But it’s not just about buying and selling; there are also sections dedicated to spare parts, automobilia, magazines, and industry professionals. It’s a significant showcase that could become one of the most prominent events in the automotive world. Let’s take a closer look at some of the highlights.
Alpine: The Dieppe-based manufacturer is presenting a journey through the past and present of the brand. They have on display the Berlinette A110 1600 SC/VD, an evolution of the 1600 S, produced in only 503 units. They are also showcasing the current A110 GT and A110 S.
Dallara: As part of the Motor Valley, Dallara is showcasing the EXP IR8 Tribute, a limited edition model produced to celebrate their first victory at the Indianapolis 500 in 1998. Only 25 units were made.
Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, and Abarth: The Italian soul of Stellantis is dominating the exhibition with a range of four-wheeled gems. The new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is the main attraction, accompanied by a Giulia Sprint GT from 1963, a 155 V6 Ti DTM from 1993, a 4C, and a Lancia Stratos from 1973. Nearby, you can find two feisty Abarth models: the 595 from 1963 and the latest 500e.
Lamborghini: Sant’Agata Bolognese is participating in the fair for the first time, and they are showcasing two iconic cars. One is the bare chassis of an Espada, which is being restored from scratch for a collector. The other is the oldest Countach in existence, chassis #0001, part of the Lamborghini Museum collection.
Maserati: The Trident brand is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Quattroporte with two models on display. Alongside the futuristic Zéda version, there is a beautiful first-generation Quattroporte.
Mercedes-Benz: The German brand has gathered a collection of cars, including the latest CLE. Among them are the aggressive CLK 55 AMG (C208), the luxurious 560 SEC (C126), the 280 CE (C123), and the 280 SE (W111). Don’t forget to visit the Italian Register of the brand.
Pagani: When you think of the Motor Valley, you can’t forget about Pagani. They are celebrating 25 years of success and have brought some of their iconic models, including one of the first Zondas produced in 1999, one of the early Huayra coupés from 2011, and the breathtaking Codalunga.
Porsche: The Zuffenhausen brand has entrusted its Italian Registers to represent them at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2023. They have a selection of models, including the 356, 911-912, 914-Boxster-Cayman, 924-944-928-968, and Cayenne.
Toyota: The Japanese brand has unveiled the new Land Cruiser, a model that draws inspiration from its legendary off-road capabilities. Alongside the new model, you can find two iconic Land Cruiser models: the BJ42 from 1960 and the FJ60 from 1980.
Volvo: Last but not least, Volvo is showcasing its heritage and forward-thinking approach. They have the prototypes VESC (Volvo Experimental Safety Car) from 1972 and ECC (Environmental Concept Car) from 1992, as well as the current EX30 and EX90 models.
