The Meat Man, also known as Tom Brown, has found a new passion in professional golf. While running his successful online fresh meat company, Brown has been pursuing his dream of becoming a caddy on the golf tours. With over 30 years of playing golf and a handicap of just one, Brown’s love for the game has always been strong. Two years ago, he had the opportunity to caddy at the exclusive JCB Golf & Country Club, which kickstarted his caddying career. Since then, he has been on the bag for professional golfers across various tours.
Life on the bag hasn’t been without its challenges. Brown recalls a memorable incident in France where his car broke down, only to be rescued by none other than Matt Fitzpatrick’s family. But despite the occasional mishaps, being a caddy comes with its perks. Brown spends days mapping the course, learning the best strategies, and even trained in Aimpoint to read greens. He cherishes the moments of being inside the ropes and rubbing shoulders with golfing legends like Jose Maria Olazabal and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
While the current season has come to a close, Brown plans to continue caddying alongside his business commitments. His ultimate goal is to make caddying his full-time career in the future. With his passion for the game and dedication to his business, Brown’s journey from steaks to strokes is a dream come true.
