UMass Starts Hockey East Play with Tough Loss to Boston University

UMass had a tough start to their Hockey East play, losing 5-2 to Boston University on Friday night. Despite scoring the first goal of the game, UMass couldn’t maintain their lead as BU fought back and took control of the ice. The Minutemen’s penalty kill struggled and they missed opportunities on the power play. BU’s strong performance and UMass’ defensive lapses led to their defeat. UMass goalie Michael Hrabal made some impressive saves, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. The Minutemen will have a chance to bounce back in the next game against BU at home.
