Golf Tournament Raises Big Bucks for Mental Health Charity in Wirral

A golf tournament held at Wirral Golf Club on September 29 has raised thousands of pounds for a local charity dedicated to improving men’s mental health. The event, hosted by SFL Mobile Radio, was not just about playing golf; it aimed to make a real difference in men’s mental health and wellbeing. With 18 teams participating, the tournament raised an impressive £6200 for Kaizen Mindset CIC, a charity based in Birkenhead that offers various services such as circuit-based training, counselling, and mental health first aid.

SFL Mobile Radio, a Bromborough-based company that supplies two-way radio equipment, is committed to community engagement. They organized the charity golf day with the vision of creating awareness about mental health, especially in the context of men’s wellbeing.

Throughout the day, golfers showcased their skills on the challenging course. The funds raised will enable Kaizen Mindset CIC to expand their outreach, provide valuable resources, and offer much-needed support to individuals struggling with mental health issues.

According to a spokesperson for the organizers, the golf day was a huge success in terms of both funds raised and raising awareness about men’s mental health. The event featured exciting contests and challenges, including the straightest drive competition and the closest-to-the-pin challenge. Generous sponsors provided prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.

This charity golf day is a testament to the power of community and the ability of sports to unite for a greater purpose. It demonstrates that we can all make a positive impact on the lives of others, even while pursuing our own passions and interests.
