Exciting Basketball Camp for Kids Hosted by R.L. Strength and Conditioning

R.L. Strength and Conditioning, a fitness company based in Bellaire, is organizing a basketball camp for kids. The camp will take place from November 15th to 17th at the St. John Central Academy gymnasium. This is the first time R.L. Strength and Conditioning is hosting a basketball camp, and they plan to make it an annual event. Over 70 children have already signed up for the camp, which is open to boys and girls of all school ages.

The camp aims to help kids improve their basketball skills, including dribbling, shooting, fundamentals, and defense. The coaching staff includes Richard Leigh, the CEO of R.L. Strength and Conditioning, along with Greg Robey, Jose Davis, James Watts, Bill Schmitt Jr., Everette Gray Jr., and local basketball coach Remi Markos. Markos, who is a college coach at Penn State York, will share his knowledge and experience with the children.

In addition to basketball training, the camp will feature music provided by DJ Mike Gallaher of M&E Entertainment. All children attending the camp will receive a free camp shirt. There will also be a three-point shootout and a foul shooting contest, with cash or gift cards awarded to the winners.

The cost to attend the camp is only $10 per student, making it an affordable option for families. R.L. Strength and Conditioning aims to make the camp accessible to as many kids in the valley as possible, and they have received donations from community members and local businesses to provide free spots for some students. The deadline to register for the camp is Monday.

R.L. Strength and Conditioning is not only hosting the basketball camp but also offers free training for school-aged youth. Currently, they support 56 kids in the Ohio Valley through their free training program. The program takes place every Wednesday and every other Saturday at Bellaire Presbyterian Church.

The mission of R.L. Strength and Conditioning is to provide kids with activities and keep them out of trouble. They believe that filling a void in a child’s life can make a significant difference. The company recently moved to a new location at Bellaire Presbyterian Church and will soon introduce a full-size mascot named Leo the Lion.
