The University of Oregon men’s basketball team is kicking off their season on Monday against Georgia in Las Vegas. The game will be televised on TruTV at 1:30 p.m. PT. This will be the second meeting between the two teams, with Oregon winning the first matchup back in 1975. The returning players from last year’s team include N’Faly Dante, Nate Bittle, Jermaine Couisnard, Keeshawn Barthelemy, and Brennan Rigsby. The team has also added several new faces, including transfers Jesse Zarzuela, Kario Oquendo, and Mahamadou Diawara, as well as freshmen Jadrian Tracey, Jackson Shelstad, Mookie Cook, and Kwame Evans Jr. N’Faly Dante, who earned First Team All-Pac-12 honors last season, is expected to have another standout year. He led the team in points, rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage, and is considered one of the top centers in the country. The Ducks are looking to build on their success from last season and make a strong run in the upcoming season.
