The Badger women’s and men’s hockey teams had a great weekend, both picking up wins against tough opponents. The women’s team, ranked number one, dominated St. Cloud State with a 5-2 victory. Laila Edwards, a talented sophomore forward, scored two goals to help secure the win. The men’s team, ranked fifth, had an exciting game against fourth-ranked Michigan. With just 6.5 seconds left in the third period, senior forward Mathieu De St. Phalle scored the winning goal, giving the Badgers their sixth consecutive win. Both teams now have a well-deserved break before their next games on Friday, November 17. The women will be playing against Ohio State at 5:00 p.m., while the men will face off against Michigan State at 6:30 p.m. It’s been an impressive season for both teams, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Go Badgers!
