Jaxson Ezman scored a late goal for Princeton to tie the game at 4-4, but CJ Foley of Dartmouth scored the winning goal with just 56 seconds remaining. Despite a valiant effort from the Tigers, they couldn’t find the equalizer in the final moments. Arthur Smith, who replaced the injured Ethan Pearson in goal, made 26 saves for Princeton. The game got off to a wild start when CJ Foley scored for Dartmouth just 2 minutes and 52 seconds into the game. This led to the Dartmouth fans throwing tennis balls and other objects onto the ice, causing a delay. The Big Green were penalized for the delay of game, and Kai Daniells took advantage of the power play to tie the game at 1-1. The Tigers quickly responded with a power play goal of their own, with Tyler Rubin finding the back of the net to make it 2-2. Dartmouth dominated the second period, scoring two power play goals to take a 4-2 lead. Ian Murphy brought Princeton within one early in the third period, but Jaxson Ezman’s late goal sealed the victory for Dartmouth. Nick Seitz had a standout performance for Princeton, recording three assists. Kai Daniells and Jaxson Ezman also scored their first career goals in the game. Despite the loss, the Tigers showed great resilience and fought until the very end. They will look to bounce back in their upcoming home games against Yale and Brown.
