Haas Challenges United States Grand Prix Result: What Happens Next?

Haas, the last-placed team in the constructors’ championship, is contesting the result of the United States Grand Prix. They have raised concerns about track limit violations at turn 6, involving both Williams cars that finished ahead of Haas’ Nico Hülkenberg. Haas has submitted evidence in the form of onboard camera footage to the FIA, requesting a review of the race result. The FIA has confirmed that the request will be considered in two stages. The first hearing will take place on Wednesday afternoon, with Haas, Williams, Red Bull, and Aston Martin all summoned. However, a final decision on the race classification will not be made until a potential second hearing, which will only happen if the evidence presented in the first hearing is deemed significant and relevant. Haas claims to have identified track limit violations by Sergio Pérez, Lance Stroll, Alexander Albon, and Logan Sargeant, who finished 4th, 7th, 9th, and 10th respectively after the disqualifications of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. As a result, Haas missed out on scoring points, with Hülkenberg finishing 11th, just two seconds behind Sargeant’s Williams. Haas’ Kevin Magnussen finished 14th, one lap down. The FIA’s decision on Haas’ request for a review will be eagerly awaited by fans and teams alike.
