Coach Rick Barnes is leading a talented team that includes key players from last year’s Sweet 16 team, such as Santiago Vescovi, Josiah-Jordan James, and Zakai Zeigler. The roster has also been strengthened with the addition of transfers Jordan Gainey and Dalton Knecht. Gainey and Knecht showed off their scoring skills in the exhibition win against No. 4 Michigan State, combining for an impressive 48 points. The Vols are also expecting improved performances from second and third-year players Jahmai Mashack, Tobe Awaka, and Jonas Aidoo.
