Titleist, the golf brand, has brought in a new boss for their gear category, and it’s none other than Peter Stanford, a pro golfer and experienced golf seller. He’s super stoked about this new gig and can’t wait to take the gear category to new heights.
“I’m a massive fan of Titleist and their products,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to work for them, and now I finally can. I reckon I’ve got a lot to offer to the gear category. I know the golf retail game inside out, from the perspective of a golf pro, and I’ve managed golf stores before. That experience is gonna be gold in my new role.”
The big shots at Titleist are thrilled to have Peter on board. According to Titleist Brand Director Michael Creighton, Peter’s got a ton of experience in the golf world, from being a PGA pro to running a multi-channel retail business. His passion for golf gear and his industry know-how are just what Titleist needs to keep their gear business booming.
The gear category at Titleist, where they’re top dogs in golf bags and headwear, has been killing it in the sales department. The latest data from Golf Datatech shows that Titleist golf bags have snagged an 18% market share in 2023, and their headwear is sitting pretty with just under 19% of the market. Looks like Titleist is on top of their game!
