So, Celtic got absolutely hammered by Atletico Madrid, and Callum McGregor is not holding back on how embarrassing it was. I mean, they lost 6-0, which is a real kick in the teeth. The last time they got thrashed this bad was back in 2017 when PSG gave them a 7-1 beating. Ouch! And to make matters worse, Daizen Maeda got a red card early on, basically sealing their fate. Captain McGregor didn’t make any excuses, though. He straight up said it was a tough night and that losing by six goals was just plain embarrassing. He’s not wrong, is he? And get this, they’ve had red cards in two away games in a row now. It’s like they’re collecting them or something. McGregor’s not blaming anyone, but he’s saying the red card threshold is so low these days, they need to change the way they defend. I guess they’ve got some serious learning to do. Tough times for the Hoops, for sure.
