The Ford Family’s Rugby Revolution

So, there’s been a lot of buzz about Owen Farrell maybe heading over to Wigan Warriors, but let’s not forget about George Ford. You see, George is the son of Mike Ford, who’s now the big boss at Oldham. Mike used to play at Oldham, and now he’s leading the charge at the club. And guess what? George might just make the switch to rugby league with Oldham! His dad, Mike, spilled the beans and said, “He might do, he might do when he is ready. He loves rugby league but he has still got things to achieve in union.” How cool would that be?

But hold on, that’s not all. Mike’s other sons, Joe and Jacob, could also get in on the action. Joe is the head coach of Doncaster Knights, and Jacob is the director of rugby at Ipswich School and the head coach at Bury St Edmunds. So, it’s a real family affair, and they’re all about mixing it up between rugby union and league. Mike even mentioned that they might train against Doncaster Knights and Bury St Edmunds to keep things interesting. It’s all about learning from each other, you know?

Now, George making the move to rugby league might still be a way off, but it’s exciting to think about. And with his brothers Joe and Jacob in the mix, who knows what the future holds for the Ford family and Oldham rugby? It’s definitely something to keep an eye on!
