Mendip Golf Club’s Andrew Smashes the Competition!

Hey there golf enthusiasts! If you’re a fan of the game, you know that battling the weather is just part of the deal. But at Mendip Golf Club, they’ve been holding their own against the elements, with only two days of closure despite some truly dreadful weather.

The hardworking Greens Staff have been keeping the course playable, allowing competitive play to continue. And let me tell you, it’s been quite the showdown!

In the latest action, Tony Logan clinched the Nearest the Pin title, with John Broxup coming in a close second. Meanwhile, the ladies took on the Mix Up Bowmaker, and it was Hilary Rowdon, Karen Cookson, Susy Rudkin, and Annette Jobbins who emerged victorious with a score of 64, edging out Lynn Cox, Val Dixon, Louise Scott, and Victoria Hicks.

Over in the men’s division, ninety-three players teed off for the 3 Clubs and a Putter Turkey Trott event. The competition was fierce, with Andrew Robinson stealing the show in Division Three, leaving his competitors in the dust with an incredible forty-eight points – a whopping eight points ahead of the next best score!

It’s safe to say that Andrew’s performance has turned heads, and the Handicap Committee will definitely be taking note. With such an outstanding display of skill, it’s no wonder that Mendip Golf Club is buzzing with excitement!

So, if you’re a golf enthusiast looking for some thrilling action, Mendip Golf Club is the place to be. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to witness some top-notch golfing talent!
