The Texas Longhorns (2-0) had a solid win against Liberty (2-1) with a score of 75-57 at the Moody Center. They were on fire from the start, especially Rori Harmon who scored 8 points on 4-4 shooting, forcing the Flames to call a timeout. Liberty fought back in the second quarter, shooting 80% from the field and narrowing the score to 23-21. However, Texas finished the half strong with a 3-point buzzer beater from Shaylee Gonzales, assisted by Harmon. The third quarter was all about Texas, as they outscored Liberty 27-14 and forced 14 turnovers. Both Harmon and Shay Holle had impressive assist numbers, with Harmon moving into the top ten all-time Texas Women’s Basketball assist leaders. The Longhorns will face UT Arlington next at the Moody Center on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. CT, and you can catch the game on Longhorn Network.
