Anderson University Women’s Basketball Team Needs Your Help

The Anderson University women’s basketball team is in need of some serious support after a bunch of thieves swiped their bags and gear from their van. The team had gone to St. Louis for a tournament and even checked out the famous arch. But within just 30 minutes, some sneaky thief broke into their van and grabbed a bunch of stuff – jerseys, shoes, electronics, and personal items. The head coach, Jon Gin, told a local St. Louis news station, “When we got back to our vans, one of them had been broken into. A lot of our stuff was missing: Gameday jerseys, backpacks with laptops, iPads, and iPods. All that kind of stuff was taken.” Can you believe it? They even had to wear borrowed jerseys for their game against the Webster University Gorloks. Big shoutout to the Gorloks for hooking them up! The team was super grateful for the hospitality and even posted about it online. They’ve also set up a GoFundMe page to try and replace their stolen gear. They’re aiming to raise $5000, and anything extra will go towards their mission trip to Costa Rica this summer. And guess what? They’ve already raised over $3,000! If you want to chip in and help these awesome ladies, you can make a donation here. The team is really sticking together through this tough time, and they’re super thankful for all the support they’ve received. It’s great to see a team come together like this!
