check this out! The martial artists from Creston had an epic weekend in Calgary. On Saturday, November 11, eight members of Dragon Martial Arts Academy – Creston took part in the annual Summit Open Martial Arts Tournament in Calgary. The tournament was huge, with over 200 competitors from different martial arts like Tae Kwon-Do, Karate, Kung Fu, and Kickboxing, representing schools in Alberta, B.C., and beyond. The Tae Kwon-Do athletes from Creston competed in Sparring and Martial Arts forms, and they totally rocked it, bringing home two bronze medals, two silver, and one gold medal. Derek Hall, the head instructor, was stoked about the competition, saying, “The level of competition at this tournament was off the charts, and our crew really stepped up. Not every match went our way, but everyone gained some killer experience that’s gonna pay off big time in the future.” He also added, “I’m always super proud of their sportsmanship, determination, and the skills they’ve honed through their hard work in every class.” If you want to know more about Dragon Martial Arts – Creston, head over to www.dmacreston.com.
