Cracking into the Finals: NSW Pride Ready for Hockey One League Showdown

The New South Wales (NSW) Pride Women and Men’s teams are gearing up for an epic showdown as they head into the semi-final matches this Saturday at the National Hockey Centre in Canberra. Defending their titles as champions, the NSW Pride teams are prepared to unleash their full force in their quest for victory in the Hockey One League.

Kicking off the final series campaign, the Pride Men’s team will face off against the Tassie Tigers at 12:30pm. The Pride Men have named a 17-person squad, including the unexpected inclusion of former Kookaburra and co-captain Tom Craig’s older brother, Ben Craig, who is set to make his debut for Pride in this final series. With the whole family, including Ben’s newborn daughter, in attendance, it promises to be a memorable moment for the brothers.

Following the Pride v Tigers clash, the NSW Pride Women’s team will take on the Canberra Chill at 2:30pm. The team is determined to defend their title despite facing a season of ups and downs with injuries and player availability. The return of Emma Spinks, who has recovered from a hand injury, adds to their strength and determination to secure the 2023 title.

Both teams are eager to prove themselves and are ready to face tough competition. The Pride Women’s team is looking to turn the tables after their previous defeat against Canberra Chill and secure a win on Saturday to secure their spot in the grand final on Sunday.
