High School Basketball Rankings Shake Up After Opening Week

In the first week of high school basketball, the ranking of the top eight teams has remained unchanged after some solid performances. However, De La Salle and Brother Rice made impressive moves up the rankings due to their big wins, while Yorkville and Lane were knocked out. The newcomers, Warren and Oswego East, have also made a strong start to the season.

De La Salle and Brother Rice showed their prowess on the court with impressive wins against St. Ignatius and Joliet West, respectively. On the other hand, Yorkville and Lane faced defeat against Burlington Central and Niles North, resulting in their fall from the rankings. Despite this setback, it’s likely that both teams will bounce back in the coming games.

The Wolves also made a strong case for their inclusion in the rankings after defeating West Aurora and Hinsdale Central, proving that they are a team to watch out for in the upcoming matches.
