A recent development in Belfast is poised to introduce both recreational and employment prospects to the region. Lost City Golf is in the process of expanding and is slated to inaugurate a new establishment in Belfast, which will result in approximately 15 new employment opportunities.
This new venture is designated to be situated at Odyssey Place, where the adventure golf facility will occupy a 15,000 square foot unit. It will boast two indoor golf courses featuring an apocalypse-themed branding and concept. Additionally, this addition to Belfast’s leisure landscape is anticipated to generate ten construction positions during the development phase.
Lost City Adventure Golf already operates a location in Belfast’s Cityside Retail Park, which has been in operation since 2017. The addition of the new site, The Lost City Apocalypse, will mark the company’s second venture in Belfast. Furthermore, the company has additional sites in Nottingham and Hull, establishing this as their fourth location in the UK.
In recent times, Odyssey Place, the site of the new establishment, has experienced significant transformations. With a substantial financial investment, the area has been rebranded and is now home to a diverse array of tenants offering family-friendly and student-friendly dining and recreational activities.
Guy Hollis, representing the property owner Matagorda 2, articulated his enthusiasm for the new addition, stating, “The Lost City will be a fantastic addition to Odyssey Place’s current roster of tenants, contributing to the wonderful mix of both family and student-friendly dining and recreational activities we have on offer.”
Meanwhile, Alice Carr, the marketing manager for The Lost City Adventure Golf, expressed her enthusiasm for the new site, asserting, “With fitout underway, we are very excited to open our fourth site at Belfast’s dominant leisure centre, Odyssey Place and cultivate a brand new Lost City team just in time for Christmas.”
This announcement presents promising prospects for individuals seeking employment as well as golf enthusiasts in Belfast. In addition to creating job opportunities, it will also introduce a fresh and engaging recreational option for residents and visitors alike.
With fitout currently underway, it won’t be long before The Lost City Apocalypse commences operations, providing a distinctive and entertaining experience for all who partake. This new enterprise is certain to be warmly embraced as a valuable addition to Belfast’s already lively leisure scene.
