K-Swiss has designated the Hypercourt Supreme as the ultimate tennis sneaker within its Hyper family. Emphasizing maximum comfort, the brand will unveil the Hypercourt Supreme 2 in January 2024, with an even greater focus on secure fit, heightened durability, and abundant comfort for tennis enthusiasts.
M.J. Kim, the designer of the Hypercourt Supreme 2, articulated that the objective was to appeal to a more intense level of court play, ensuring increased security and stability while maintaining the maximum comfort level of its predecessor.
When conceiving the new sneaker, Kim was attentive to preserving a snug fit that tennis players seek. Recognizing that comfort and fit are paramount to players, he concentrated on sustaining these pivotal features to ensure a seamless transition to the new model.
To enhance security and support, Kim refined the ankle area with a soft bootie collar and introduced an “X-Cinch” feature, providing a more personalized fit to cradle the forefoot, particularly during intense cutting actions.
The midsole of the Hypercourt Supreme 2 received a significant upgrade, featuring a dual-density setup with Shock Spring in the forefoot for energy return and Surgelite material for stability. These enhancements aim to provide comfort, support, and quicker reactions on the court.
The outsole showcases a Dragguard 7.0 rubber compound in a modified herringbone tread pattern, while the upper design features curved lines with dynamic movement, offering protection, support, and enhanced ventilation for the foot.
Scheduled for release on Jan. 1, 2024, the Hypercourt Supreme 2 will be available for $145, introducing a fresh approach both technically and visually to the franchise. The new design, according to Kim, aims to evoke a more aggressive and dynamic character, with elements reflecting the franchise’s DNA.
In summary, K-Swiss is poised to introduce the Hypercourt Supreme 2, catering to tennis players seeking optimum comfort, support, and performance on the court. With its innovative design and enhanced features, the new sneaker is poised to make a significant impact in the world of tennis footwear.
