The Northern Highlands boys’ ice hockey team, which holds the No. 11 ranking in the NJ.com Top 20, achieved a commendable 8-3 victory over the No. 12 Chatham team at the Sport-A-Rama Ice Rinks in Monsey, NY. Collin Prugh demonstrated his prowess by completing a hat trick, while Brent Beswick contributed with two goals and three assists, recently achieving his 100th point milestone for Northern Highlands (3-1).

In a thrilling match for Northern Highlands, Jake Baratta also made notable contributions with a goal and three assists, and JT Gandara and Matt Gershengorn each scored a goal and provided two assists. The team’s goalkeeper, Reade Adams, warrants recognition for the victory with an impressive 30 saves during the game.

Chatham (0-2) saw a praiseworthy effort from Matt Nacinovich, who recorded a goal and two assists, alongside contributions from Danil Shlapak and Thomas White, who each scored a goal, and Luc D’Costa, who contributed with two assists. Unfortunately, their efforts were insufficient to overcome the Northern Highlands team. Chatham’s goalkeeper, Nate May, made 18 saves during the game.
