The game saw a 13-0 scoring run in the second quarter, enabling the Monarchs to establish a commanding lead over the Beavers. Olson, a senior guard, contributed 28 points and played a crucial role in securing the win.
Coach Bill Bakamus of Mark Morris expressed his satisfaction with the team’s offensive display, emphasizing the significance of selfless play and mutual support for each other’s progress. Olson’s outstanding performance was particularly lauded, with Bakamus commending his ability to orchestrate the team’s play and execute critical intangible aspects.
Although they initially trailed, the Monarchs swiftly turned the tide with Olson’s impressive showing, as he scored 16 of his 28 points in the first half. The team’s energetic performance was evident as they executed effectively on offense, securing a 39-24 halftime advantage.
