Hertfordshire Police has initiated an appeal to ascertain the whereabouts of Glenn Tamplin, the former affluent proprietor of Billericay Town football club, who has failed to make court appearances. The 57-year-old is the subject of two warrants for arrest released by St Albans Magistrates’ Court in relation to accusations of possessing cocaine and disobeying a community order.
As per a police spokesperson, Tamplin stands accused of possessing a Class A drug on 9th May and of breaching a community order between 19th October and 4th November the previous year. His most recent known addresses were in Watford and Essex, and endeavors to locate him have thus far been futile.
Tamplin gained widespread attention during his stewardship at Billericay Town for recruiting former Premier League athletes Jermaine Pennant, Paul Konchesky, and Jamie O’Hara. Subsequently, he moved on to oversee Romford, another non-league team, before departing from the footballing sphere entirely after 16 months.
