Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh, SAI Shakti Team, Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy, and SAI Bal Team emerged as victors in their respective matches.
The day commenced with a dominant 6-0 victory by Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh over Raja Karan Hockey Academy. Madhu Sidar stood out with four goals, while Damini Khusro and Radhikaa also contributed to the team’s success.
In the following match, SAI Shakti Team delivered an exceptional performance, securing a resounding 20-0 victory over Anantpur Sports Academy. Purnima Yadav, Ravina, Captain Kajal, and Binati Minz showcased their offensive skills, each scoring hat-tricks and demonstrating the team’s prowess.
Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy secured a hard-fought 3-1 win against Jai Bharat Hockey Academy, with Dipika and Captain Sunaina leading their team to victory.
The day concluded with SAI Bal Team showcasing their skills in a commanding 10-0 win over Salute Hockey Academy, with Riya securing a hat-trick and other players making significant contributions to the team’s impressive victory.
In other news, Hockey India President, Padma Shri Dr. Dilip Tirkey, was honoured with a Ph.D. in Sports Science from Sri Sri University, acknowledging his substantial contributions to the field of sports and his dedication to the progress of Indian hockey.
Furthermore, with only three weeks left until the FIH Hockey Olympics Qualifiers Ranchi 2024, the Indian Women’s Hockey Team is preparing for the crucial event, where they will be competing for a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
