In an engaging discussion on the “WHAT’S ON THE TOUR?” Podcast with host Angie, she openly articulated her discontent with the current state of women’s tennis promotion. Kasatkina pinpointed the dearth of deliberate promotion, specifically highlighting the detachment of the WTA from Tennis TV as a pivotal concern. She underscored the efficacy of the streaming platform, TennisTV, in promoting tennis, while expressing disappointment in the comparative shortfall of the WTA TV platform.
During her interview, Kasatkina also emphasised the underutilisation of the WTA’s TikTok account, observing the paucity of activity on the platform. With an illustrious career encompassing six singles titles and an appearance in the 2022 French Open semifinals, Kasatkina’s discerning insights shed light on the adversities encountered by female players within the WTA.
