Exciting Showdown Set for Moir Championship Game

The stage is prepared for an exciting showdown between the West Rowan Falcons and Salisbury Hornets in the Moir championship at Goodman Arena, following their decisive victories in the high school girls’ basketball semifinals.

The Falcons, entering as the second seed, showcased their defensive skills as they defeated the Central Davidson team with an impressive 71-24 victory. Despite missing several layups, West Rowan managed to take control of the game, with Lauren Arnold, Tiara Thompson, Mya Edwards, and De’Mya Phifer leading the scoring.

On the other hand, Salisbury secured a strong 73-40 win against top-seeded A.L. Brown, thanks to a barrage of 3-pointers and a standout performance from MaKayla Noble, who scored 27 points.

Previously undefeated A.L. Brown was left reeling after Salisbury’s explosive start, which saw the Hornets take a commanding 21-5 lead in the first quarter, and they continued to dominate from there.

Both teams are ready to compete in what promises to be an exciting championship game, with A.L. Brown and Central Davidson vying for third place in the earlier matches.
