The Soroco girls secured their second win of the season with a 53-28 victory over Caprock Academy. Conversely, the Soroco boys encountered a challenging weekend with losses to De Beque and Caprock Academy. Both the boys and girls teams eagerly anticipate their forthcoming games against North Park and West Grand.
Regrettably, the Hayden Tigers boys basketball team suffered defeats in both recent games, while the girls team also experienced losses. They are preparing to host Rangely on Friday and travel to South Routt for a showdown against Soroco on Saturday.
The Hayden wrestling team achieved ninth place overall in the Fight at the Fork 2024 wrestling tournament, with Tommy Weber reaching the first-place match. Furthermore, the Soroco girls wrestling team, consisting of just two wrestlers, delivered an impressive performance at the Queens of the Mountain tournament, with Larhae Whaley securing a significant victory.
In the arena of Nordic skiing, the Steamboat Springs Nordic team hosted a successful home race at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center, with both the boys and girls teams delivering strong performances. The team is now gearing up for their next competition at Tennessee Pass. Meanwhile, the Steamboat Alpine ski team is poised to host its home event at Howelsen Hill.
