Dundee United FC Women is delighted to announce the signing of forward, Morgan Steedman.
The 27-year-old is set to join Foundation Park after a successful four-year tenure at St Johnstone, where she finished as the top goalscorer for the past two seasons and has already netted eight goals in the current campaign.
Morgan began her career at Dunfermline Athletic and also had a spell at Jeanfield Swifts before returning to Dunfermline. During her second stint at Dunfermline, she consistently found the back of the net, attracting the attention of St Johnstone in January 2020.
Expressing her excitement upon signing ahead of Sunday’s SWPL1 match at home to Hamilton Academical, Morgan said, “I’m really excited to sign with Dundee United FC Women. I’m looking forward to the challenge and taking my football to the next level. I believe that playing against top-flight teams can only help me improve.”
Head Coach Graeme Hart also shared his enthusiasm about Morgan’s arrival, stating, “We’re absolutely delighted to have Morgan join the Club. She’s a player we’ve had our eye on for quite some time. While we had some discussions in the summer that didn’t quite work out, we are thrilled to have everything finalized now.”
Hart added, “We are well aware of Morgan’s capabilities, and the qualities she brings will be a fantastic addition to the team. As a proven goalscorer, we are excited to see her step up and showcase her talent in the top league.”
