Currently, Howard boasts a record of 6-12, with Warren leading the team’s statistics in points per game, rebounds, assists, steals, and free throw percentage. On the other hand, Coppin State, with a matching record of 6-12, has junior forward Laila Lawrence as their leading scorer and rebounder.
Regarding MEAC stats, Howard leads in several categories such as field goal percentage defense and blocked shots, with individual players like Warren and Walker achieving notable rankings in the conference.
With their recent victories, Howard is aiming to continue their winning streak as they face off against Coppin State, hoping to capitalize on their current momentum and secure another triumph.
The upcoming game will undoubtedly be pivotal, and fans are anticipating an exciting showdown between these two evenly-matched teams. As the Bison return home for their next game, anticipation is building for the 50th Anniversary celebration of Howard women’s basketball program and its rich legacy.
