The esteemed ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 tournament, scheduled to take place at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium from March 17 to 31, will now incorporate wheelchair tennis from March 26 to 28 and Major League Pickleball (MLP) from March 27 to 29.

The wheelchair tennis competition will be overseen by Shingo Kunieda, a former world No. 1 player from Japan who retired after an illustrious career, boasting 28 Grand Slam singles titles. Joining Kunieda in the tournament are other major champions, including Great Britain’s Gordon Reid and Argentina’s Gustavo Fernandez, whose participation is set to elevate the event with an additional layer of excitement and competitiveness.

In conjunction with the wheelchair tennis, the Miami Open will also play host to the Major League Pickleball (MLP) event. Sixteen MLP professionals are poised to engage in an All-Star tournament, showcasing their expertise through round-robin play and three playoff matches.
