TalkSPORT Bags Exclusive Live Broadcast Rights for Rugby Super League

British sports radio station talkSPORT has signed a two-year agreement to secure the broadcasting rights for both the men’s and women’s Super League rugby. This exciting development will see talkSPORT providing match commentary and reports for 40 games per season, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to the sport.

Liam Fisher, Head of talkSPORT, expressed his satisfaction with the deal, stating, “We have once again secured broadcasting rights to the Betfred Super League, and we are delighted that for the 2024 and 2025 seasons we will also be covering the Betfred Women’s Super League for the first time. This underscores talkSPORT’s dedication to the sport with live outside broadcasts, prominent guests, and extensive coverage of marquee weekends throughout the season. Our listeners can join our exceptional commentary team as they engage with the sport over the next two seasons.”

The inclusion of women’s rugby in the coverage was also highly praised. Rhodri Jones, Commercial Managing Director at Rugby League, commented, “We’re delighted to have extended our partnership with talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 for a further two years. The extended coverage is excellent news for Super League fans, who now have the opportunity to listen to more than 80 live Betfred Super League games over the next two years. The fact that the deal includes coverage of the Betfred Women’s Super League for the first time is another indication of the growing profile of that competition.”

In other sports news, talent and marketing agency B-Engaged has announced the signing of Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie.
