At the young age of 18, Josh Berry has already established himself as a noteworthy figure in the realm of professional golf. In an interview with Golf Monthly, the talented adolescent shares the thrilling journey he has thus far embarked upon, as he anticipates his inaugural start of the new year on the DP World Tour.
This young golf prodigy’s odyssey commenced at the age of 11, where he emerged triumphant at the Wee Wonders British Championships at St Andrews in 2015. Following this triumph, he ventured to America to partake in the Junior World Championships at Pinehurst. Little did he foresee that these initial victories would pave the way for a propitious career in professional golf.
Subsequent to his successful completion of all three stages of Q-School, he obtained his Tour card in November of the prior year. Ever since, he has extensively journeyed to South Africa, Mauritius, and the Middle East to partake in a variety of events. Berry is poised to launch his first DP World Tour start of 2024 at the Qatar Masters this week – an exhilarating opportunity for this burgeoning luminary.
In contemplation of his recent accomplishments, Berry confessed that it has been a whirlwind experience. Despite the challenges, he feels immensely privileged to be living his dream of playing professional golf. Following a resolute performance at the Q-School, Berry secured his Tour card, rendering him the youngest card holder since Rory McIlroy accomplished the same feat in 2008.

During the absence of DP World Tour starts, Berry has ventured into other tournaments, such as the SDC Open in South Africa, where he exhibited his exceptional skills. He views this as an opportunity to refine his talents on professional courses and establish a reputation for himself in the world of competitive golf.
