Playing a total of 89 games, she amassed an impressive 53 points from 12 goals and 41 assists. Her outstanding performance on the ice was instrumental in the Friars’ consecutive ECAC title wins in 1992, 1993, and 1994. Recognized for her exceptional talent, Movsessian was named to the ECAC All-Star Team three times and received the honour of being a two-time New England Hockey Writers All-Star (1992-93, 1993-94).
Not only did Movsessian excel at the collegiate level, but she also made a lasting impact on the international stage. Her representation of the United States in the 1994 and 1997 World Championships, as well as the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan, demonstrated her prowess and dedication to the sport. Movsessian played a pivotal role in helping the US team secure a Gold Medal at the 1998 Olympics, a crowning achievement in her illustrious career. Her exceptional contributions to hockey led to her induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009 and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame in 2019 as a member of the 1998 Olympic Team.
To celebrate Vicki Movsessian’s incredible legacy, the Induction Ceremonies for the “Class of 2024” are scheduled for August 17th at the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI. This will be a momentous event honoring not only Movsessian but all the other esteemed members of the Hall of Fame.
