Witnesses Sought After Altercation at York Rugby Match

The Yorkshire police are appealing to the public for information and witnesses regarding a violent incident that took place at the York Knights v Wakefield Trinity rugby league game on Sunday, February 4, 2024. The incident occurred inside the stadium in the East stand at approximately 4:35 pm, and subsequently spilled outside of the stadium near the turnstiles and later near the Monks Cross park and ride bus stop.

The authorities are particularly keen to speak with individuals who were present at the game and witnessed any of the incidents, especially if they were directly impacted by them. The police are urging those who attended the game from West Yorkshire, particularly Wakefield fans, to come forward with any information they may have.
