Last week, Wareham’s Jordyn Elwood emerged as the victor in the Girls Basketball Player of the Week poll, securing more than 3,000 votes, which accounted for 60% of the total vote count. This accolade was a result of Elwood’s commendable performance, during which she scored a combined total of 47 points in three consecutive victories for Wareham.

In preceding weeks, the title was claimed by outstanding players such as New Bedford’s Alaysha Sylvia-Figueroa, Lexi Thompson of Old Colony, Lindsey Bacchiocchi from Old Colony, Emerson Gonet of Old Rochester, as well as Wareham’s Jordyn Elwood and Johnny Tompkins.
