A young golf enthusiast, a mere seven years of age, is currently in the process of raising £100,000 for the Freeman Heart and Lung Transplant Association in honour of his deceased father. George Hughes, who commenced his golfing journey at the tender age of two, is resolute in his ambition to establish a Guinness World Record by playing golf in five different countries within a span of 24 hours. Assisted by his grandfather, Tony Sedgwick, George also aspires to enlist the aid of a prominent figure from the North East to support his endeavours.

Tragically, George’s father, Dave, succumbed to his ailment when George was merely a year old, subsequent to receiving a heart transplant at the youthful age of 32. Now, George is earnestly driven to give back to the hospital and the community that extended care to his family in their time of need.
