Despite initial low expectations for the team’s success, the players’ perseverance and self-belief have brought them to this point.
The Rams’ strong first-half performance was the turning point of the game, limiting East Lansing to just six points and initiating a staggering 21-0 run. This defensive strength, combined with solid offense, allowed Holt to seize control of the game early and maintain their lead throughout.
Rhema Dozier attributed the team’s recent defensive focus to their success, recognizing that a strong defence is crucial to their overall performance. Despite facing challenges on the offensive end, the team’s commitment to improving their defensive game has been pivotal in their tournament journey.
