The men’s tennis team at Saint Joseph’s University suffered a setback during their Spring Break trip, as they were defeated 6-0 by North Carolina A&T. The match, held in Orlando, Florida, saw North Carolina A&T emerge victorious in all six singles matches for the evening.
Ernesto Ruy, a member of the Saint Joseph’s team, displayed great effort as he fought back from a set down in the second flight, ultimately forcing a tiebreaker. Despite his commendable efforts, Ruy was defeated with a final score of 6-1, 6-7 (5), 10-7.
No doubles matches were contested during the event, further solidifying North Carolina A&T’s dominance in the singles matches.
As the team concludes their stay in Florida, they are set to face off against Keiser in their upcoming match on Thursday.
